What Paddl does
Paddl runs the compliance and day-to-day operations side of a hospitality business in one place: food safety records, routines, training, documents, suppliers, and more. Managers set things up in the admin panel, and staff do their daily work in the mobile app.
The two halves of Paddl
There are two ways in, and they share one login:
Admin panel at manage.paddl-ai.co, used in any browser for setup, oversight, and reporting.
Paddl Assist app on iOS and Android, used by staff to check in, complete tasks, log checks, and ask questions.
Step 1: Set up your business and locations
Start with the basics so everything else lines up correctly.
Go to Settings > Business and add your name, logo, contact details, and country. Country matters because it sets your allergen standard, inspection wording, and whether SFBB is available.
Go to Locations and add each venue with its address, timezone, and operating hours.
Set your temperature unit and date format under Settings > Units.
Step 2: Invite your team
Go to Team > Team Members, click Invite Staff, and add each person with their role and locations. They get an email to create their account and download the app.
Use a real email for each person, not a shared inbox. Paddl tracks task completion, sign-offs, and training per individual, so a shared login like info@ makes your records meaningless.
Step 3: Let the AI do the heavy lifting
You do not have to build everything by hand. During onboarding you can upload what you already have (menus, supplier specs, policies, existing risk assessments), and Paddl reads them to draft your allergen matrix, HACCP plan, and knowledge base. Review the drafts and adjust anything that does not match how you actually work.
Step 4: Build out the essentials
These five cover most day-one needs:
Routines for opening, closing, cleaning, and temperature checks.
Equipment so fridges and freezers can be selected when logging temperatures and tracked for servicing.
Documents for policies that need a staff signature.
Allergens so staff and Ask Paddy can answer customer allergen questions.
Knowledge Hub for your own how-to content, which also powers Ask Paddy.
