What changed
When a business switches team chat on, the things that used to arrive as a push to everybody arrive as a card in the right channel instead. The information is the same; where it lands is different, and usually better: a card can be acted on, and it sits somewhere you can find it again.
What became a post
Open shifts: a card in the site channel that staff claim, rather than a push to up to sixty people.
Swap requests: a card in the site channel.
Unfilled shift warnings: a card in the managers channel.
Handovers: a post in the site channel with an acknowledge button.
Somebody joining: a welcome line in the channel, with no push at all.
What did not change
Anything personal still comes to you directly:
Your own published rota and any change to your shifts.
Leave decisions, timesheet queries and shift reminders.
Critical and high alerts, billing, and anything to do with your account.
Turning the noise down
If a channel is busier than you need, mute it or set it to mentions only from the conversation's info panel, and set your quiet hours under Profile > Notifications. Urgent broadcasts still come through, by design.
If your business does not have team chat
Nothing has changed for you: the old notifications behave exactly as they did.
