What an organisation is
An organisation sits above separate Paddl businesses. Groups and franchises often keep their businesses apart on purpose, with separate billing and sometimes separate legal entities. The organisation ties them together without merging them.
It gives head office one place to see every business, keep a shared library of master content, and send updates that each business reviews and approves.
Who it is for
Anyone who owns two or more live businesses can create an organisation, and it is free. A business owned by someone else, such as a franchisee, can join by invitation that its owner accepts.
What stays with each business
Billing. There is no organisation invoice. Each business keeps its own subscription, at the same price per site, permanently. See How Paddl Pricing Works.
Approval and sign-off. Nothing from the organisation goes live in a business until that business approves it.
Everything else. Readiness score, records, staff, modules and subscription all stay with the business.
What the organisation sees
Readiness rings and scores for each member business
Counts, and the status of library items and updates in each business
What it never sees: a business's staff, records or documents. A franchisee's internal data stays theirs.
The organisation's pages
Organisation pages are in Paddl on the web. The sidebar has Home, Businesses, Library, People & access, Brands, Areas and Settings. The app is for doing the work inside a business.
Home shows every business on one page: its readiness score and status, readiness for each area of compliance (food safety, fire, health and safety and so on), library updates waiting and overdue, and whether it is live. View it By business or By area. The Needs attention rows list overdue Required updates, sites with no area and businesses that are not live.
What it does not do yet
No consolidated billing. This is by design.
No shared chat room across businesses. Team chat stays per business; head office talks to each one in its Head office channel.
Masters are offered to every business in the organisation. There are no brand-only masters yet.
