The four roles

Organisation roles sit on top of business roles and are set in Organisation > People & access.

Role

Covers

Admin

The whole organisation. There is always at least one admin

Library editor

The organisation library and its masters

Brand manager

The businesses in their brands

Area manager

The sites in their areas

Business roles do not change: each business still has its owner, managers and staff.

Roles never open a business on their own

An organisation role does not let anyone into a business. To work inside a business, a person needs a role in that business as well.

Giving an area manager access

An area manager gets manager access to the businesses their sites belong to through one action in People & access:

  • A business the admin owns: access is given straight away

  • A franchisee's business: Paddl sends an access request, and the business owner approves it
