What Home is for
Dashboard at the top of the sidebar is Home, the page you land on when you sign in. It answers two questions: how ready are we for an inspection, and what needs somebody now. The location picker at the top narrows everything on it to one site.
Readiness
The first row is Overall readiness: one ring across every kind of inspection that applies to you, with a card beside it for each inspector. That is food hygiene, fire, and health and safety, plus licensing for a licensed venue. They are the same rings as the Readiness overview, so Home and Readiness never disagree. Click the overall card to open Readiness, or one of the cards to open that inspector's page.
A ring with nothing to score says so rather than showing a reassuring green 100%. If you pick an earlier date, the lists below show that day, but the rings stay live and a line under them says so.
Your food hygiene rating
For a UK business, the overall card carries one line with the official rating from the FSA: for one site, its rating and when it was last inspected; across several, how many are linked and the lowest rating. A site that is not linked yet shows Food hygiene rating not linked. Link it from the site's page under Settings > Locations. See Your Food Hygiene Rating.
Requires attention
Below the rings, Requires attention sets out what needs a manager in up to four cards:
Card | What lands in it |
|---|---|
Critical | Checks missed in the last week and not resolved, or still open from an earlier day; documents that have expired; reports marked as needing action; action points past their date. |
Today | Checks due today, overdue once their time has passed; documents expiring within the week; reports awaiting review, handovers not yet acknowledged and signatures still owed. |
This week | Checks due in the next seven days, documents expiring within the month, and action points due this week. |
To set up | Setup you started and have not finished, and the kinds of record an inspector expects for your venue that nothing keeps yet. |
Each card shows five rows, and View all opens the rest. Repeats are folded together, so the same check missed on four days is one row that says missed 4 times, and the same check due at several sites is one row naming them. Each row opens where the item lives and offers the one action it needs: Review a report, Resolve a missed check, Read and acknowledge a handover, Remind the people who still owe a signature, Close an action point, or Upload new for a document that has expired. Red findings from Paddy's analysis, and amber ones that are overdue or due this week, land here too, with Done for whoever can decide them.
A row under To set up comes with Ask Paddy to draft what is missing, or Upload when the gap is a document such as a certificate. If something genuinely does not apply, an owner can mark it not applicable on its Records page or in Documents, and it leaves the list.
A card with nothing in it is not shown, and the ones left always fill the width: one card runs across the page, two sit side by side, three are two and then one across, and four make a two by two grid. When all four are empty you see Nothing needs you right now. If a list could not be loaded, its card stays and says so, since it may not be empty.
Further down
Below Requires attention sit the cards for the rest of the day: open alerts, maintenance jobs on your own name, upcoming appointments, documents coming up for renewal and the tasks still outstanding today. Each opens the page it summarises.
On a phone or tablet, Home is the first button on the bar along the bottom of the screen, and the same lists are there in one column.
A card further down missing? Those cards follow your modules. Each belongs to a module and goes when that module is switched off under Settings > Modules.
