A focused app for contractors
Contractors (engineers, cleaners, door staff, and the like) get a simpler version of Paddl Assist built around what they need: keeping credentials current, signing documents, and seeing their jobs.
Getting invited and signing in
A business invites you by email. Open the link, set a password, and sign in. Your account is tied to your email, and your credentials are portable: if you work for more than one business on Paddl, the same credentials carry across, so you do not re-upload your insurance or licence for each one.
What is in the app
Section | What it is for |
|---|---|
Home | Your check-in status, compliance score, and next events |
Credentials | The credentials the business needs from you, with their status and expiry |
Documents | Documents to read and sign |
Events | The jobs and visits you are assigned to |
Activity | Your check-in history and hours |
Credentials
The business sets what it needs (for example a licence number, an insurance certificate, or a signed policy). For each one you either enter a value or upload a file, then submit it for review. Each shows a status:
Approved: reviewed and accepted
Pending: submitted, waiting for the business to review
Rejected: not accepted; the reason is shown so you can fix and resubmit
Not submitted: still needed from you
The app warns you before a credential expires so you can renew it in time. Keeping them current matters, because an expired or missing required credential can stop you being assigned to work.
Documents and events
Documents are grouped into those needing your signature and those already signed; tap an unsigned one to sign it. Events shows the jobs you are assigned to, upcoming and past, with the date, time, location, and your role.
Activity and hours
The Activity tab shows your check-in history by day, with total hours and shift counts, and you can export it. Note that check-in and check-out are recorded by the venue, not entered by you.
Businesses manage their side of this under Team > Contractors, see Managing Contractors.
