Why you check in

Checking in tells Paddl which venue you are working at, and your tasks, checks, and records are tied to that location. It also records who was on shift and when.

How to check in

  1. Open the app and tap Check In on the home screen

  2. If you work across more than one venue, pick the location

  3. Your tasks for that location then appear

The previous shift's handover

When you check in, the app shows you the handover the last shift left, so you start with anything they flagged. It also stays as a card on the home screen until you read it.

Switching location

Working somewhere else for a shift? You can switch location without checking out first. Your tasks update to the new venue. If you expected to see tasks and do not, this is the first thing to check.

Checking out

Check out at the end of your shift to close it off. A good moment to also submit a handover report for the next shift.
