A document is not showing for staff to sign

When a policy or document does not reach the people who need to sign it, check whether it is archived, who it is assigned to, and where they are.

The symptom

You uploaded a document for staff to read and sign, but some people cannot see it.

Full diagnostic

  1. Confirm the document is not archived. An archived document is hidden from the lists while its record is kept. Restore it if it should still be live.

  2. Check the assignment. A document reaches a person if they match its assigned people, groups, or locations. Make sure the person is covered by at least one.

  3. Check the location and check-in. If the document is assigned to a location, staff see it once they check in to that location, the same as routines.

  4. Check the expiry. A document past its expiry date may be hidden from the active list. Update the document or its date if it is still current.
