Staff are not getting push notifications

If reminders and alerts are not reaching a phone, the cause is usually the device, the notification settings, or the type of task.

The symptom

A staff member is not getting push notifications on their phone for tasks, reminders, or alerts.

Quick checks

  1. Are they logged in with notifications allowed? A phone only receives push if the person has signed in to the app and granted notification permission to it in the phone settings.

  2. Is the notification type switched on? Each person controls which categories notify them under Settings > Notifications.

Full diagnostic

  1. Confirm the device is set up. Ask the person to open the app, confirm they are logged in, and check that notifications are allowed for Paddl Assist in their phone settings.

  2. Check their notification preferences. Under Settings > Notifications, make sure the relevant category and channel (in-app, email, push) are turned on.

  3. Remember location-only tasks do not notify. A task assigned to a location rather than to a named person or group is picked up when staff check in, so it does not send a personal push. If you need someone to get a notification, assign the routine to them or to their group.

  4. Confirm the recipient account is active. A deactivated user receives nothing.

To choose what notifies you and how, see Notification Settings.

When to contact support

If the device is set up, the right preferences are on, and the task is assigned to the person, contact us at support@paddl-ai.co with the staff member and an example of what they should have received.
