Equipment is missing or not raising service alerts

A fridge that will not appear when logging temperatures, or a service reminder that never arrives, usually comes down to its status.

The symptom

A piece of equipment will not appear when staff log a temperature, or its service reminder is not coming through.

Full diagnostic

Open Equipment and check the item.

  1. Is it active? Switched-off equipment is hidden from the lists staff use, so it cannot be selected. Switch it back on if it should be in use.

  2. Is it marked offline? Equipment taken offline for repair or testing is set aside and stops raising service alerts until you bring it back online.

  3. Does it have a next service date? A service reminder counts down from the next service date. If that date is blank, no service alert is raised. Add one to start the reminders.

  4. Is its location active, and is the person checked in? Equipment follows its location. If the location is switched off, or staff have not checked in there, the equipment will not show in the app.

For adding and servicing equipment, see Equipment Management.
