The symptom
On a number question in the app, such as a line check or a stock count, the field will not take anything after a decimal point. You type 1.5 and it keeps only the 1.
The fix
This was a bug in an older version of the app, now fixed. Update Paddl Assist to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play and the field will accept decimals again.
How number fields work now
You can type a decimal, such as 1.5 bottles or 2.5 kg.
How many decimal places a field allows is set per field when the routine is built, so a whole-number count still only takes whole numbers by design.
The keypad only offers a decimal point on fields that allow one.
Set up as a whole number on purpose? If a field should take decimals but does not even on the latest app, the routine field is configured for whole numbers. Edit the field under Routines and set its step to allow decimals.
When to contact support
If you are on the latest version, the field is meant to take decimals, and it still will not, contact us at support@paddl-ai.co with the routine and field name.
