The symptom
You used Review with AI on a HACCP plan and it did not behave as you expected: it suggested nothing, you could not apply a change, or you ended up with two plans.
It suggested no changes
That is usually correct, not a fault. If the plan already reflects your current menu, allergens, and chemicals, the review returns no suggestions and says the plan still matches your operations. If you expected a specific change, check that the underlying data is actually in Paddl first: the new item is on the menu and allergen matrix, or the new chemical is in your COSHH register. The review can only act on data the system holds.
Nothing happened when I clicked Review with AI
Give it a moment. The review runs in the background and usually takes under a minute; the button shows progress while it works
If it shows an error, it will say so. Try again, and if it keeps failing contact support
Make sure you are on the Verification & Reviews tab of the plan, where the button lives
I cannot apply a suggestion
Applying changes to a HACCP plan is limited to owners and managers. Staff accounts can see the review but not apply it
Advisory suggestions have no Apply button by design. They are for you to action by hand, because they need judgement rather than a single field change
I ended up with a duplicate plan
Review with AI updates the plan you opened, so it never creates a duplicate. Duplicates come from the generate flow instead. When you start the builder and a plan already exists, choose update the existing plan rather than create a new one. If Review with AI keeps failing after a retry, contact us through the chat widget at help.paddl-ai.co or email support@paddl-ai.co, and tell us the plan name.
