The symptom

A temperature reading, a check, or a report you expected to see is not in the records.

Full diagnostic

  1. Check it was logged at the right location. Readings are filed against the location the person was checked in to. If they were checked in somewhere else, look there.

  2. Check the equipment exists. A temperature reading attaches to a piece of equipment. If the fridge or freezer was not set up, the reading may not have saved against it. Add the equipment under Equipment.

  3. Check your filters. Records lists filter by date, location, type, and status. A filter set to the wrong day or location will hide an entry that is actually there. Clear the filters and look again.

  4. Look in the right place. Temperature and food safety checks collect under Food Safety Records, cleaning and opening and closing checks under Hygiene Records, and handover reports under Alerts > Reports.
