The idea
Rules & Automations let your site react to what is actually happening. A rule watches for something (a staff member checking in, or the day's forecast), checks any conditions you set, and then does something useful, like showing live weather at check-in or creating a task for the team.
How a rule is built
Every rule has the same three parts:
Trigger is when the rule runs: when a staff member checks in, or when the day's weather is forecast.
Conditions are optional checks that must all be true, such as the forecast being sunny and the temperature being at least 20 degrees.
Actions are what happens: show a panel at check-in, create a task, notify managers, or add a note to the handover report.
Who can set them up
Only owners and managers can create or edit rules. Staff see the prompts and tasks that rules produce, but they do not manage the rules themselves.
Where to find them
In the admin panel, open Operations > Automations. You will see your existing rules and a button to create a new one from a template or a blank form.
Best for outdoor and seasonal sites. Beach wagons, kiosks, terraces and pop-ups change with the weather, so they get the most value, but any site can use scheduled prompts and handover notes.
