What this does

This rule shows a panel of live conditions when a staff member checks in at a location, so they can set up correctly. It is ideal for outdoor sites where wind direction and tide decide where a cart or stall goes.

Set it up

  1. Go to Operations > Automations > New automation.

  2. Choose the Weather, wind & tide at check-in template.

  3. Under Show at check-in, tick the details you want: temperature, weather, wind direction, wind speed, tide state and next high tide.

  4. Set the location scope, then click Create automation.

Make sure locations have a position

Weather and tide are based on each location's coordinates. If a location has no address or position set, its panel will be empty. Add the address under Settings > Locations.

Tide only shows for coastal sites. Inland locations will show weather and wind but no tide, which is expected.
