How training works in Paddl
Paddl has a library of training modules you assign to your team, such as allergen awareness, food hygiene, and health and safety. A module can include an assessment, issue a certificate, and carry a renewal cycle, so training is something you can prove rather than just claim.
Assigning a module
Go to Team > Training > Modules
Open the module you want, for example Allergen Awareness
Click Assign Module
Assign it by role, staff group, or location, or leave the selection empty to assign it to everyone
Save, and assigned staff are notified to complete it in the app
Assessments, certificates, and renewals
Modules can include multiple-choice questions with a pass threshold
Passing issues a certificate with a score and issue date
Modules with a renewal cycle flag automatically when a refresher is due
Staff can complete training offline and it syncs when they reconnect
The compliance matrix
Go to Team > Training > Modules > Compliance for a grid of every staff member against every assigned module. Each cell has a status so you can spot gaps at a glance.
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Valid | Completed and in date |
Expiring | In date but due for renewal soon |
Expired | Past its renewal date, needs redoing |
Not started | Assigned but not yet begun |
In progress | Started, not yet passed |
Superseded | A newer version is available to retake |
Tip: Ask Paddy "which staff have overdue training?" and it will read your training status and answer directly.
