Zettle links with an API key that you create in your own Zettle account. Only the Paddl account owner can link a till.

Create the key in Zettle

  1. Sign in at my.zettle.com with the account that owns the shop.

  2. Open Integrations, then API keys, and create a key. Name it Paddl.

  3. Give it permission to read purchases and products.

  4. Zettle shows a Client ID and the API key itself. Keep the page open: the key is only shown once.

Paste it into Paddl

  1. In Paddl, press Link your till on Sales > Takings, then Connect next to Zettle.

  2. Paste the Client ID and the API key, and press Connect Zettle. Paddl checks them with Zettle before saving, and stores them encrypted.

  3. A Zettle account is one location. If your business has one site in Paddl, they are paired for you; otherwise pick the site under Settings > Integrations.

What comes in

Every purchase from the last thirteen months, then new ones every half hour: takings, card and cash, tips, refunds and each product sold, which feeds Sales > What sold and the allergen check for products with no allergen record.

Stopping it

Delete the key in Zettle, or press Disconnect under Settings > Integrations. Takings already brought in are kept.
