Rota > Requests > Availability shows, for a week at a time, which days each person has said they can or cannot work. Staff set it in the Paddl app under When I can work.
Every week, and one-off dates
A person can say they never work a weekday, or only between certain times on it. A one-off date beats the weekly pattern, which is how "I never work Sundays, but I can do this one" is recorded, and how a single day they cannot do is recorded too.
What it changes
Availability is a heads-up, not a rule. Nothing stops you putting somebody on a day they said they cannot work, but the rota warns you when you do (see Eligibility warnings on the rota). Where open shifts are first come, first served, a person who has marked themselves unavailable for that time cannot claim it.
Recording it for somebody
Press Add for someone, choose the person, then tap their days: once for cannot work, again for can work, and once more to clear it. Add one-off dates underneath. Each change saves as you make it. You can also click a day on the board to open the same editor for that person.
The numbers at the top show how many people have told you anything, how many days they cannot work this week, and the day the fewest people can do.
