When to use CSV import
If you already have a list in a spreadsheet, importing it is far quicker than typing each entry. You do not need a template: Paddy reads the spreadsheet as it is, works out which column is which, and shows you what it found before anything is saved. Spreadsheet import is available for:
Equipment: click Add Equipment and choose Upload a list. A PDF or a photo of a list or the rating plates works too
Suppliers: click Import a spreadsheet on the Suppliers page
Allergens: click Add allergen and choose Import from spreadsheet
How it works
Choose the import option in the relevant section
Pick the file
Paddy reads it and shows you each item it found, with the columns it matched
Correct anything it misread, then confirm to import
Allergens: check the preview carefully
Look over the allergen import before you confirm. If a column is read as the wrong allergen, every item in it is tagged wrongly (gluten showing as milk, for example). See Allergen Matrix.
Documents instead of a spreadsheet?
