Why traceability matters

If a supplier recalls a product, you need to know fast whether you received it, which batch, and where it went. Paddl builds that chain from the batch detail you capture at goods-in.

Batch traceability

When you record a delivery, add the batch items (item, batch number, use-by date, quantity). Under Suppliers > Batch Traceability you can then trace a batch from the supplier through the delivery to where it was used.

Handling a recall

  1. Go to Suppliers > Recalls and record the recall, the affected products, and the action required

  2. Use traceability to find any affected batches you received

  3. Remove the stock and record what you did

That gives you a documented, defensible response, which is exactly what an inspector or your supplier will want to see. Supplier records live in Managing Suppliers & Recalls.
