Paddl supports digital signatures for various compliance documents. Staff can sign documents from the mobile app, creating a secure audit trail.
Types of Signatures
You can request signatures for:
Documents - Training materials, policies, procedures
SFBB Packs - Safer Food Better Business pack acknowledgment
Risk Assessments - Staff confirmation they've read and understood risks
HACCP Plans - Acknowledgment of food safety procedures
Knowledge Articles - Confirmation of reading important information
Requesting Signatures (Admin Panel)
To request signatures from your team:
Open the document, SFBB pack, or risk assessment
Click "Request Signatures"
Select the team members who need to sign
Optionally set a deadline
Click "Send Request"
Team members will receive a notification and the item will appear in their "To Sign" list on the mobile app.
Signing on Mobile
Staff can sign documents from the mobile app:
Open the Profile tab
Tap on the pending signature item (or go to Documents → To Sign)
Review the document content
Tap "Sign Document"
Draw your signature or use the typed signature option
Confirm to complete the signing
Tracking Signature Status
From the admin panel, you can see who has signed and who is still pending:
Green checkmark - Signed
Orange clock - Pending signature
Red X - Declined (rare, for optional documents)
Use the "Signature Status" filter to find documents with outstanding signatures.
Signature Records
All signatures are timestamped and stored securely. The signature record includes:
Signer's name and user ID
Date and time of signature
IP address and device information
The exact version of the document that was signed
This creates a complete audit trail for compliance inspections.
