Quick Tasks allow managers to create one-off tasks for team members. Unlike routines (which repeat on a schedule), quick tasks are for specific, immediate needs.
When to Use Quick Tasks
Quick tasks are ideal for:
Urgent requests that arise during a shift
One-time cleaning or maintenance jobs
Following up on incidents or customer feedback
Training a specific team member on something
Any task that doesn't fit into your regular routine schedule
Creating a Quick Task (Admin Panel)
From the admin panel:
Go to Tasks → Quick Tasks
Click "Create Quick Task"
Enter the task title and description
Select the assignee (or leave unassigned for anyone to pick up)
Set the due date and time
Choose a priority level (low, medium, high)
Select the location
Click "Create Task"
Creating a Quick Task (Mobile)
Managers can also create quick tasks from the mobile app:
Go to the Tasks tab
Tap the "+" button
Fill in the task details
Assign to a team member or leave open
Set due date and priority
Tap "Create"
Tracking Quick Tasks
Quick tasks appear in your team's task list alongside routine tasks. You can filter to show only quick tasks if needed.
As tasks are completed, you'll see them move to the "Completed" section. Overdue quick tasks will generate alerts.
Quick Task vs Routine
Use this guide to decide which to use:
Routine: Repeating tasks on a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly)
Quick Task: One-time tasks for immediate needs
Routine: Standard procedures everyone follows
Quick Task: Specific requests for specific people
