The Paddl mobile app works offline, so your team can continue working even without internet access. Data syncs automatically when connectivity is restored.
What Works Offline
When offline, you can still:
View your assigned tasks and routines
Complete tasks and submit responses
Submit quick reports (accidents, maintenance, deliveries)
View downloaded knowledge articles
Check in and out of shifts (recorded locally)
View previously loaded documents
What Requires Internet
Some features need an internet connection:
Downloading new content or updates
Sending real-time notifications
AI assistant (Paddy)
Document signing (signature validation)
Viewing new team assignments
Syncing changes to the server
Offline Indicator
When you're offline, a banner appears at the top of the app showing:
"You're offline" message
Number of pending items waiting to sync
Last sync time
Syncing Pending Items
When you regain internet connection, the app automatically syncs your pending items. You'll see:
The offline banner changes to "Syncing..."
Pending items are uploaded to the server
A confirmation when sync is complete
The banner disappears once everything is synced
You can also manually trigger a sync by pulling down on any screen to refresh.
Managing Offline Data
To view and manage offline data, go to Profile → Offline Data. Here you can:
See pending items waiting to sync
View the last successful sync time
Clear cached data if needed
Force a manual sync
Best Practices
Sync before going to areas with poor connectivity
Complete important submissions while online when possible
Check the pending items count regularly
Keep the app updated for best offline performance
